Quitmed Commitment to Safety and Quality
At Quitmed, we prioritize the safety and quality of our nicotine vaping products. With the evolving landscape of regulations and standards, it's essential for consumers, health practitioners, and stakeholders to understand the minimum requirements and our role in regulating vaping devices.
Understanding Nicotine Vaping Products: Nicotine vaping products encompass finished products containing nicotine intended for vaporization and inhalation through vaping devices like e-cigarettes. These products include nicotine vape liquids, e-liquids, and disposable e-cigarettes. However, it's important to note that 'heat-not-burn' and other tobacco products are not covered under this guidance.
Navigating Regulatory Pathways: Currently, there are no nicotine vaping products registered in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG). However, consumers can access unapproved nicotine vaping products through established pathways such as the Authorised Prescriber Scheme (APS), Special Access Scheme (SAS), or the Personal Importation Scheme, with a valid prescription. It's crucial to comply with state, territory, and federal regulations when accessing these products.
Role of TGA Guidance: The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) provides guidance to help stakeholders understand the safety and quality requirements for unregistered nicotine vaping products. This includes information on the Therapeutic Goods (Standard for Nicotine Vaping Products) (TGO 110) Order 2021, other applicable standards, and the TGA's role in regulating vaping devices.
TGO 110 Requirements: TGO 110 sets out minimum safety and quality requirements for nicotine vaping products not registered in the ARTG. These requirements aim to provide accurate information about product contents, prevent the addition of harmful substances, and minimize risks associated with accidental exposure, especially for children. Compliance with TGO 110 ensures that products meet essential safety and quality standards.
Our Commitment to Compliance: At Quitmed, we are dedicated to upholding the standards outlined in TGO 110. Our products undergo rigorous testing and adhere to packaging, labeling, and ingredient requirements to ensure consumer safety. We maintain records demonstrating conformance with TGO 110, reinforcing our commitment to transparency and accountability.
Continued Monitoring and Adaptation: As regulations evolve and new evidence emerges, we remain vigilant in monitoring industry developments. We actively engage with regulatory authorities, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficacy.
At the heart of our mission is a dedication to providing consumers with safe, high-quality nicotine vaping products. Through adherence to regulatory standards, ongoing collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, we strive to contribute to a safer and healthier vaping experience for all.
