Therapeutic vapes are not a first line treatment of smoking cessation, vaping cessation or the management of nicotine dependence. They are only to be used for management of smoking cessation.

Contact Poisons Information Centre (13 11 26) of possible nicotine poisoning (symptoms include nausea, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, breathing difficulties, seizures and cardiac arrest), ingestion or exposure to vaping substance.

Contact 000 immediately for life-threatening emergencies or if a child is suspected of nicotine poisoning.

All vaping products are classified as unregistered or unapproved goods and have not been assessed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for quality, safety and efficacy or performance.

Side effects of vaping on health is still emerging. Adverse outcomes such as risks of poisoning, seizures, toxicity from inhalation, addiction of nicotine, lung injury and heart failure have been reported.

Please contact us if there are any adverse reactions or problems with vaping goods, as these incidents must be communicated to the TGA.
